This section explores Lines as design elements in photographs. Lines are usually repeating in either horizontal, vertical or diagonal arrangements. Horizontal lines are thought to be restful and are often seen in scenic pictures. However, this picture of a Scout hauling himself along a line is anything but restful. Notice the Scout’s body is a horizontal line too.
